1. Introduction
EasyEarns (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you sign up, we collect your username, email address, display name, and authentication credentials (via email/password or third-party providers like Google). You may also add an optional bio and profile photo. Your username, display name, bio, and profile photo are publicly visible on your profile page.
2.2 Referral Data
When you share referral links or someone signs up using your referral link, we record the referral relationship (who referred whom), the referral source (e.g. where the link was shared), and your IP address for fraud prevention. We also store referral tracking cookies (easyearns_ref and easyearns_src) for up to 30 days to attribute signups to the correct referrer, even across separate browsing sessions.
2.3 Giveaway Entries
When you enter a prize draw, we use the email address on your account to contact you if you win. We also record your IP address for fraud prevention (one entry per network per draw). Bonus entries are calculated from your site-wide referral activity during the draw period. Giveaway entry data is retained for the duration of the draw plus a reasonable period for auditing and winner verification.
2.4 Newsletter Subscriptions
If you subscribe to our newsletter (via the footer, giveaway page, or elsewhere on the site), we store your email address and subscription status. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email. We retain an inactive record after unsubscribing to ensure we honour your preference if your email is entered again.
2.5 Live Support Chat
When you use our live support chat, we store your messages, session status, and timestamps. If you are logged in, your session is linked to your account. If not, we generate an anonymous visitor token. We also record your IP address for abuse prevention. Chat messages are used for support purposes only and are accessible to our admin team.
2.6 Usage Data
We track interactions with the platform such as referrals posted, link clicks, copy actions, votes, comments, page views, and site visits to improve the service. This includes the page path, your IP address, and browser user agent. If you are logged in, visits may be linked to your account. We do not build individual browsing profiles for advertising.
2.7 Security & Moderation Data
We maintain audit logs and security logs that record significant actions such as login attempts, account changes, and moderation decisions. IP addresses may be logged and used for rate limiting, ban enforcement, and fraud detection. We may ban specific IP addresses or accounts to protect the Platform and its users.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform.
- Manage your account, profile, reputation, and public profile page.
- Run prize draws, calculate entries, contact winners, and verify claims.
- Track referrals and attribute signups to the correct referrer.
- Send newsletters to subscribers who have opted in.
- Send draw-related emails to giveaway entrants (results, winner announcements, claiming instructions).
- Provide live support chat and respond to your queries.
- Send technical notices, updates, and security alerts.
- Detect and prevent fraud, spam, multi-accounting, and abuse.
- Enforce rate limits and IP bans to protect the Platform.
- Analyse site usage and performance to improve the experience.
4. Cookies and Consent
When you first visit our site, we ask for your cookie preferences via a banner. You can update your preferences at any time through the cookie settings option in the footer. We use three categories of cookies:
- Necessary cookies: Required for the website to function. These handle your login session, authentication state, referral tracking, and cookie consent preferences. They cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use our site by collecting anonymous usage data. Only loaded if you consent. See Section 6 for details on Google Analytics.
- Marketing cookies: Used to display relevant advertisements. Only loaded if you consent.
Your consent choice is stored in your browser's local storage. If you clear your browser data, you will be asked again on your next visit.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
- With service providers who assist our operations (see Section 6).
- To comply with legal obligations or enforce our Terms of Service.
- In connection with a merger, sale, or asset transfer of our business.
Public information: Your username, display name, bio, profile photo, referral submissions, and community activity (votes, comments) are publicly visible on the Platform and may be indexed by search engines.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Platform:
- Supabase: Database, authentication, and real-time infrastructure. Your account data, content, messages, and all platform data is stored in Supabase. Data is processed in accordance with their privacy policy.
- Vercel: Hosting and deployment. Vercel serves our website and processes server logs including IP addresses and request metadata. We also use Vercel Speed Insights for performance monitoring.
- Resend: Email delivery service. Used to send welcome emails, draw result notifications, and other transactional emails. Your email address is shared with Resend solely for delivery purposes.
- Google Analytics: If you consent to analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors engage with our site. It collects pages visited, session duration, and general geographic location without identifying individuals. You can opt out by declining analytics cookies.
- Google AdSense: If you consent to marketing cookies, we may display advertisements via Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads. You can opt out by declining marketing cookies.
- Sentry: Error monitoring. When an error occurs, Sentry captures technical data such as browser type, operating system, the page you were on, and the error stack trace. It does not capture passwords, payment information, or message content.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: CAPTCHA service on login and signup pages. Cloudflare may process your IP address and browser data to verify you are a real person.
- logo.dev: Brand logo display. When a logo is loaded, your browser requests it from logo.dev servers, which may log standard request data.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information as long as your account is active.
Account deletion: You can delete your account at any time via the Settings page. Your personal data (name, email, profile) is permanently removed from our active systems immediately. Backup data is purged within 30 days.
Giveaway data: Entry records are retained for the duration of the draw and a reasonable period after for auditing.
Newsletter data: Your email and subscription status are retained until you unsubscribe. After unsubscribing, we keep a record of your inactive status to respect your preference.
Chat data: Support chat sessions are retained for quality assurance, dispute resolution, and abuse prevention.
Security logs: Audit logs, security events, and IP ban records are retained for as long as necessary to protect the Platform.
Analytics data: Page view and site visit records may be periodically aggregated or purged.
8. Your Rights
Under applicable data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data (see Section 7).
- Withdraw consent for analytics and marketing cookies at any time via the cookie settings in the footer.
- Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time.
- Object to certain processing of your data.
